Anne Clelland is a GAP 50 Entrepreneur Award finalist. She was nominated in the entrepreneur category for TechNite Awards in 2009, 2010 and 2013 by the Roanoke-Blacksburg Technology Council, RBTC, Virginia. She Chooses (R), the personal awareness and social sharing network for women, co-founded by Anne, was nominated in the Rising Star category at TechNite 2011.
She Chooses(R), a prototype of Cognichoice, was selected from over 100 companies as one of 55 startups to present at Distilled Intelligence 1.0 in 2011.
Cognichoice as Feel. Think. Choose. (TM) was selected as one of five finalists to compete in the 2012 VT KnowledgeWorks Entrepreneurship Challenge.

Her interests include entrepreneurship and regional community and economic development. She served as a mentor at Startup Weekend Blacksburg, 2012.

Anne’s Bachelor of Arts degree in history, minor in geological sciences, and Master of Arts in education are from Virginia Tech. Her Master of Science degree in mental health counseling is from Nova Southeastern University. She is Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative (CITI) Human Subjects Research Certified.
