She Chooses(TM), the social application for women, was selected from over one hundred companies as one of fifty-five startups to compete at Distilled Intelligence 1.0, an event for startups and investors, on Tuesday, October 11, 2011, at the Center for Innovative Technology (CIT) building in Herndon, Virginia.

She Chooses is a product of Virginia-based Wasabi Enterprises, Incorporated, co-owned by a five-member team – three from the Blacksburg, Virginia technology industry, Anne Giles Clelland, Henry Bass and Laureen Fleming – Carnegie Mellon student Alex Edelman, and Blacksburg, Virginia-based marketing strategist Gail Billingsley.
