Answering the Handshake Question

What does Handshake do as a company?  The same work a handshake does.  It begins the transformation of those you don't know into those you do.

Why?  It's still who you know.

  1. People are more likely to refer those they know to others they know.
  2. People are more likely to shake hands on deals with people they know.

How does Handshake contribute to the business of getting known?  By extending its reach on behalf of its clients.

Handshake Media, Incorporated, of which Handshake 2.0 is one enterprise, had its origins in a web site development business founded in the 90s.  That business had a web site so it could be found and known by potential clients.

Ten years later, getting known among a trillion unique URLs is infinitely more difficult, so we created Handshake 2.0 in 2008 as a B2B web site and blog to increase the likelihood that our clients would get found, get known, and get business.

Social media added another opportunity for us to extend the handshakes of our clients.  If people were no longer receiving information about companies and their products through a few channels but through many, we would offer our value through many channels, too.  Handshake is everywhere, or close to it.

Now people aren't everywhere online.  They're taking everywhere with them.  Hence the boom in mobile apps, 25 billion downloads expected by 2015.

Hence our launch of The Handshake Mobile App. Wherever our clients' potential customers are, on behalf of our clients, we want to offer a handshake from Handshake.

What's next?  We have a plan!  It will have handshakes.
