A Handshake in Support of Local Art

Anne Giles Clelland and Kimberly Reynolds

Anne Giles Clellend, founder of Handshake Media, shares a friendly handshake with Kimberly Reynolds (@somebunnyslove) from XRX, Inc. at "Art to Go" an event by the YMCA at Virginia Tech.

Art To Go was part of a series of events to raise funds for the Pottery Studio at the Y.  Handshake 2.0 has been delighted to be part of this effort. According to the YMCA's executive director, Gail Billingsley, "Our area is without a public access arts space.  We are building our own Pottery Studio to be able to offer classes year-round that will generate revenue to fund our community outreach programs." According to Handshake 2.0, "That sounds like regional economic development to us."

Handshake 2.0 will be attending the YMCA at Virginia Tech Food and Wine Benefit Auction on June 4, 2010.
