Buy Ticket, Pick Art

Buy a ticket, not for a chance to get art, but to really get art!

The YMCA at Virginia Tech is hosting Art To Go, a black tie-optional showcase of the work of emerging and established artists in the Blacksburg, Virginia area.  Buy a ticket, peruse the art, and when your ticket number is called, you make your selection.  If you're one of the first 50 people to arrive at Art To Go, while you meet the artists and preview their art, we're delighted to offer you a free beverage, courtesy of Handshake Media, Incorporated, the parent company of Handshake 2.0.

You'll definitely get your photo taken by Allen J. Fuller, III, the official photographer for Art To Go. Allen Fuller is a freelance writer, photographer and aspiring entrepreneur.  He blogs at AllenJFuller.com and can be found on Twitter @AllenJFuller.

And you might get to select this sketch by Steven White.

Mr. and Mrs. Handshake 2.0 will be at Art To Go!  We look forward to shaking hands with you and the event's celebrity bartenders:  Adam Alexander, Matt Barron, Jim Cowan, David Duncan, Andrew Lee, Greg Lee, and Jonathan Simmons.

Whose number will be called first?  Which one of these pieces of art donated by local artists will be your personal Art To Go?

Proceeds from Art To Go will support completion of the the Pottery Studio at the YMCA at Virginia Tech.
