The Rex Goliath Merlot, 2007 is a bold, impressive California Merlot.  The namesake of a 47 pound Rooster, His Royal Majesty (HRM) Rex Goliath, this fruit-forward wine has a distinct spiciness to it.  It easily lives up to its name: bold, epic, but not cocky.
